lavellan kuno Open to other kits - if you want a long term friendship group! They will grow up hanging out and telling each other stories!
For what felt like eternities they had bene traveling, endless days and nights coming and going, blending into one another. It had been very taxing on all of them. In all honesty Crispkit was sure this was going to just be their lives forever. What started as just her and her mother, had eventually grown into this huge group of cats. Having much time on her paws as he mother was doing her best to avoid her, she had taken to bugging the other cats and learning about the clans. Her eyes would shine at the tales of the clans and the great battles they had, the killed hunters that would provide for their clans and how much more peaceful things had one been. Finally after much thought, and the group deciding to fall back and rest for the old and the young - Crispkit was eager to do something to help. She was going to be a great warrior, and she could start now! She didn't need to be an apprentice yet, right? She could get her own warrior name when she surely brought upon mouthfuls of prey to the tired group. Her small body stood proud on the small boulder, her tiny claws gripping it's snowy surface. Tail wagging in thought he was ready to go out and become a hero for moons to come! After all she didn't have to worry about freezing, at least not today. It was a warmer afternoon, the sun was beating down granting some semblance of warmth.

It had been a long day of traveling and Dustkit was glad the group decided to stop. Just walking along for what seemed like forever was boring to the young kit. He wanted adventure and fun. Joining the journeying cats was exciting at first, but after a few days it became monotonous passing tree after tree and bush after bush. He and his sister weren't allowed to play only just walk. Tigerstorm had scolded them on the second day because he had to go find them after the group had left without them. Why, we were only playing hide-n-seek! he thought. But that was days ago, he didn't know how many days had passed since then.
After taking a quick nap when the cats first stopped, Dustkit was ready for some fun. Spying a kit on top of a rock, he came over and stood in front of it. "Whatcha doin' up there?" he asked. Whatever she was doing had to be more fun than what he was doing, and that was nothing.

So far, Phantomkit had merely been quietly existing within the group. He didn't dare do anything that would bring any form of attention on to him - good nor bad. His throat was sore, and he was sure that it was from the disuse that it was being put through. Still, the silver bengal wasn't too keen on changing that quite yet. He was quite at peace with his invisibility - have other kits, or even his siblings, have the spotlight. Anyone but him. Of course, there was the question of what kind of attention could he even get while on this journey, but it was too risky to do anything other than blend in.
At least, that had been his plan. Phantomkit had never intended to veer from this plan, but the darkness of foreshadowing loomed over the kit as he rested nearby, unaware of what was going through Crispkit's mind. It was Dustkit's voice that caused Phantomkit to wake from his nap, and he looked up towards the rock that Crispkit stood upon. His ear twitched, and he debating going back to sleep, but he was too close to the other kits that any conversation would disturb him. So, instead, he got up, taking the time to stretch before turning his attention back to his travel companions.

Dewkit settled beneath a nearly leafless tree as she purred from the much-wanted rest. Her paws were sore, and all she craved for all day was to close her eyes and enter her peaceful dreams. She could feel the gentle breath of the wind, and it softened her tense body. Wondering how long this would last, she closed her eyes and drifted into sleep.

The warm coloured she-cat nearly jumped out of her fur at the sudden sound of an approaching cat. Feeling her paws slip under the jolt her body had given her, she crouched as she fought to stay on top of the icy rock. Once her mess of a balance was captured her tail lashed in embarrassment. The ends fluffed out in surprise she managed to clear her throat as she looked over her shoulder at the grey tabby that had spoken. Now more aware of her surroundings and less in her day dream, she noticed the sleepy shapes of Phantomkit and Dewkit. Her ears twitched nervously as she finally let her eyes land back on Dustkit,
"Umm well.." she started, the tip of her tail twitching nervously. She wasn't entirely sure herself if she was to be completely honest. She had too much time on her paws and not enough confidence to try and engage with the older cats. "I was thinking about going out to hunt. Try and bring back something for all the older cats who've been working hard.." she admitted. It wasn't false so to say, but was more so a fraction of the bigger truth.

The gray tabby tom had to place a paw over his mouth to keep from laughing at Crispkit's antics. However a tiny snicker came out before he controlled himself. "That sounds like fun!" Dustkit mewed enthusiastically. "I wish I thought of it." He looked around to see if any older cats were nearby. They always tended to spoil kits' fun. As luck would have it, none were in hearing distance but he knew that could change at any time.
"Can I go with you? Do you know how to hunt?" he asked in softer tones not wanting to attract unwanted attention. A second look around showed him that Tigerstorm was sleeping peacefully. Dustkit sighed with relief. Out of all the cats in this group he was the one who kept a close watch on him and his sister.

Her calm nap ceased as a whisper of something interesting echoed in her ears. Her brunette fur stood up on end in excitement. She had wandered away from the group before, chasing whatever had caught her eye, but she had never deliberately looked to explore outside what she was allowed to. Dewkit lifted her head, her jade-green eyes landing on two kits not far from her. A gray tabby tom she recognized as Dustkit, and another, an ardent colored she-cat, Crispkit. She froze, unsure if she should try to follow.
Dewkit considered talking to them, but she’d never been to close to the cats outside her litter and wasn’t sure how to behave with them. She watched from beneath the tree, the lighter-brown swirls from her pelt shining from the light of the afternoon sun.

Having just recently joined the band of cats, Ashkit wasn’t nearly as worn out as the rest of them. He had only been with them a few days now, and hadn’t really branched out to anyone other than those who found him. They told him that his name would now have ‘kit’ at the end of it, but he didn’t really mind.
He’d just got done grooming his fur, when the sound of whispers and excitement caught his attention from around the bushes he was hiding under. Curiosity always getting the best of him, he slunk closer through the undergrowth until he was a few rabbit hops away and well within sight of his kit companions.

Dustkit spun around at the slight noise he heard behind him thinking an adult cat was nearby. He sighed in relief when he saw another kit instead, the newer one who recently joined their group. "Ashkit, right?" he mewed. Then noticing they were being watched by Phantomkit and Dewkit, he waved them over with his tail.
"Crispkit wants to go hunting," he told them, he eyes shining with excitement. "Let's go too!"

She stared at the young kit. His friendly demeanor reminded her a little of her younger brother, Brownkit, and it put her at ease. With the exhaustion of a much older cat, she stood up and walked closer. While settling near the young gray tom, she flicked her tail to greet Ashkit and Phantomkit. Her jade-green eyes now only rested on Crispkit, as she had not yet accepted Dustkit’s request. She could only imagine the looks on Littlekit’s and Brownkit’s faces when they found out she went hunting without them, and that was something she was curious to see.

After finishing his stretching, Phantomkit had taken to grooming himself quick, still listening in to the conversation going on around him without adding his own voice into the mix. They were going to go hunting? That had 'bad idea' written all over it. It was unlikely that any of them even knew the first thing about hunting, and the disappearance of so many kits was certain to draw attention to them. It was a good thing that he had nothing to do with-
He was suddenly drawn out of his thoughts by Dustkit waving and calling him over. Despite everything, Phantomkit found himself walking closer to the group. "Isn't hunting for older cats?" he asked.

Dewkit turned her attention to Phantomkit thoughtfully. She knew his question was reasonable, if not practical, and she may have asked the same thing if she wasn’t so intrigued. Dewkit desperately mewed the best excuse she could think of, “...Well, um, the older cats don’t have the same luxuries as they used to. That was a rule decided when the Clans considered it the best way to survive- when there was enough food to go around.” She looked at the earth beneath her, “Wouldn’t it be better for us to at least try instead of freeloading off their work, waiting to be Apprentices?”
Dewkit continued to look at the dirt, embarrassed of ever speaking like she was doing it for such righteous reasons. She knew she wouldn’t have spoken one word to dissuade Phantomkit from getting in their way if it was not for her love for new novelties. Trying to persuade Phantomkit was just a way to get what she wanted, and Dewkit was used to her selfishness getting the best of her. She lifted her head, looking him straight in the eye. Dewkit hoped her rushed words were enough to, at least, convince him not to tell.

Ashkit had been shocked that someone remembered his name, but gave a small nod to Dustkit to confirm that he was right. He felt as if he was truly starting to fit in, and the thought brought a small smile to his face as the group formed around them, their ideas and opinions flying this way and that. He was already used to living on his own, and finding his own food.
"I've been hunting a few times," the solid gray tom piped up, flicking his tail lightly along with his words. "It takes some practice but it's not too hard!"

Dewkit blinked gratefully at Ashkit before settling her eyes back upon Phantomkit. Ashkit didn’t mean to help specifically her interests, but the tom still aided her argument to explore. In addition, he would be necessary for bringing prey back to the traveling cats. Dewkit stared at Phantomkit, her jade-green eyes burning with desire for new things to observe.

"I agree with Dewkit," Dustkit mewed. "We should help out instead of just playing around. Every little bit counts I heard an older cat say just the other day."
He turned his gaze onto Ashkit. "Can you show us some hunting stuff you know? It'll be better than goin' out and goofin' up and loosin' all the prey."
