[PTabbedContent] [PTab= INTRO] [attr="class","grey-scroll"] Hi there! I’m Hati; a writerly type from the UK. I’ve been rattling around in the roleplay spheres (under one name or another) for about 17 years now, and have dipped in and out of Warriors for most of that time – although I’m also pretty far behind on the books at this point. I’m slowly working on fixing that, but my heart mostly still belongs to the first series (and other authors).
Out in the real world, I spend most of my time writing help guides for a software product and providing technical support to go along with them, but my real loves are books, worldbuilding/fiction writing, and animals (not necessarily in that order). I also enjoy a little gaming, but I’m terrible at finishing them and take a ridiculously long time to do so.
I tend to lean towards lurking in the Discord and other such areas, but my Dawn & Dusk inbox is always open if you want to plot or chat! [PTabbedContent] [PTab= BASICS] [attr="class","hati-scroll"] ~Underneath my armour, am I loyal, brave, and true?~- Christina Aguilera; Loyal, Brave and TrueAGE: 54 moons (aprox. 18 seasons / 4.5yrs) | 'I never held my hand out and asked for something free I got pride I could roll out for miles in front of me I don't need your help, and I don't need sympathy I don't need you to lower the bar for me
I know I'm Superwoman, I know I'm strong I know I've got this 'cus I've had it all along I'm phenomenal and I'm enough I don't need you to tell me who to be.'
-Kelly Clarkson; Broken and Beautiful | |
| —SYNOPSIS—A massive bronze tabby of Bengal descent. Although she keeps herself meticulously groomed to hide [most of] her scars, it takes little more than a glance to mark her out as a threat. The danger of her is plainly declared in her muscular body and the manner she caries herself; in her ragged ears and clawed face; in the blaze of her eyes and tension of her frame. She is a Warrior raised a Rogue; a Weapon without a Purpose; a Shield with Teeth. Violence is all this cat has ever really known, and it shows through every part of her, but even so she manages to be more than the bloody history that has forged her. Tiger still knows honour, still has a kernel of kindness, and might yet throw off the shackles of her past – if only she can find someone to trust. |

[/PTab{tab-selected-background-color:transparent;tab-hover-background-color:transparent;tab-border-color:transparent;}] [PTab= APPEARANCE] [attr="class","hati-scroll"] —IN SUMMARY—EYES: Yellow gold; slightly grey overtone becomes apparent in low light. PELT: Dark brown upper body and beige underside. Predominantly marked with black stripes, but also has some white facial markings and a few spots littering her sides and lower legs. Fur length varies, but is mostly medium thickness. SCARS: Innumerable scars scattered across her body, but most are kept hidden by the way she grooms her fur. Her only permanently visible wounds are her ragged-edged ears, a set of claw-marks across her face (barely missing her right eye), and a network of bites around her forepaws. BUILD: Outsizes many other cats in both weight and height. Is tall, stocky, and packed with muscle. —DESCRIPTION— Even at a glance, it is very clear that Tiger was made for fighting. Although her overall shape is streamlined—calling back to her Bengal cat ancestry—she is also massive in every way. She stands taller than many other cats and is broad across the chest and shoulders; stocky across the rest of her frame. Every inch of her is packed with solid muscle, making her look as if she could flatten other cats with little more than a careless swipe of a paw, and she caries herself in a way that makes it very clear that she knows how to use it: obvious that she could back up any threat she might choose to make.
Although relatively thick, Tiger’s fur is nevertheless short enough to show off the underlying physique with ease – although its markings and the lie of it may somewhat confuse the image. The she-cat is marked all over with dark stripes that break up her natural lines, and in many places those stripes have been disturbed by fur that has been groomed entirely the wrong way. They’re further disrupted by a scattering of spots dusted across her legs and sides—remnants of her Bengal heritage—and by the white splashed across her throat and face.
Despite her harsh life, Tiger appears, at first, to have made it through relatively unscathed. She has few ‘visible’ scars for a cat has been weapon and shield and lone, but those that are on display are perhaps all the starker for that fact. It is, after all, difficult to miss the tears to her ears or the many overlapping bites around her forepaws – to say nothing of the claw marks scoured across her face. They speak plainly to some of the hardship she has endured: not least because they draw attention even more readily to her eyes, which have been hardened by adversity, and yet blaze with a lingering fire. [/PTab{tab-selected-background-color:transparent;tab-hover-background-color:transparent;tab-border-color:transparent;}] [PTab= BIOGRAPHY] [attr="class","hati-scroll"] —QUIRKS & HABITS— - Doesn’t sleep in the warrior’s den; has instead scratched out a small/shallow hollow for herself in sight of the camp’s entrance, and sleeps there. Does not bother to line it with anything.
- Doesn’t share tongues, and liable to reject anyone who tries.
- Grooms her fur against its natural lines to conceal the majority of her scars.
- Typically amongst the last to take anything from the fresh kill pile.
- Doesn’t pronounce H’s at the start of words, or the G in the ‘ing’ sound.
—PERSONALITY— Protective | Reserved | Often Aggressive/Standoffish At first, Tiger seems a very simple cat to understand. Most who encounter her find her to be openly hostile or distant and cold: a cat who dislikes everyone, and who isn’t afraid to show it. She’s a tendency to keep apart from others, watching from the outskirts instead of engaging, and she actively rejects many of those who attempt to draw near. As if that wasn’t bad enough, she often seems to teeter on the edge of aggression, and she’s been known to lash out with little warning and over things that others would consider small.
That, however, is only Tiger’s surface.
Cats who pay more attention may begin to see that her outside is misinterpreted; that there’s more to her than she willingly reveals. Tiger’s coldness is reservation: the result of a harsh life that has taught her to keep others at arm’s length; that it isn’t okay to be ‘soft’; that she has little right to voice her opinion. Her hostility is mistrust: an understanding that she can’t rely on others to help her; that allies may be as dangerous as enemies; that others may turn on you without warning. Her aggression is trained: a linchpin of a life that has proven difficult to leave behind.
Tiger, in short, is the product of her original environment, and that environment has wounded her in a myriad of small ways. She finds it difficult to relax and even more difficult to let others close, and its common for others to be put off by that first impression, or to turn aside when their lack of understanding—the simple act of startling her—leads to the flash of claws. If someone were to stick around, however, they might come to find that she that could grow into something much more… —HISTORY— - Tiger was born to a group of cats whose ancestors had modelled themselves on their own warped understanding of clans. She was the result of a leader-chosen pairing between Silver and an ‘unknown’ tom (unknown because he wanted nothing to do with his kits, and Silver chose not to tell them his identity).
- Silver wanted her kits to be more than what they were born for, and lavished Tiger and her brother (Leopard) with affection, encouraging everything except the aggression and blind obedience she was meant to foster. To the rest of the group’s eyes, this was a mistake, and they responded by forbidding Silver from interacting with her kits, and pairing them to the harshest mentors they could find. For Tiger, this was Ice: a tom who was impossible to please; who demanded obedience; who was downright brutal in every aspect of his teachings.
- Tiger swiftly learnt to follow the expected rules (protect her better; obey all orders; eliminate all outsiders), and ultimately ended up leading Leopard into a fight neither of them was really equipped for. This resulted in Leopard being flung into and lost down a river and its waterfall, which in turn removed the last thread of ‘softness’ from her life. Tiger became more protective after this, and even easier for Ice to mould.
- The ‘paw’ passed her final assessments (a series of fights) with flying colours and was subsequently made a full ‘Claw’. She continued to excel, earning the respect of those who normally looked down on ‘her sort’, and gaining high standing amongst her fellow Claws. Eventually, some began to murmur that she shouldn’t be a Claw at all, but should instead be elevated and given a chance for more. The leader and seniors did not approve.
- To maintain the status-quo, Tiger was declared a threat to her clan and her fellow Claws were ordered to kill her. Silver intervened, giving Tiger the change to run, and some other younger Claws ‘conveniently’ lagged behind in the resulting chase, ‘accidentally’ hindering the others. As a result Tiger escaped with only minimal wounds (by Claw standards), and has been living as a loner ever since. | Tiger has complicated feelings towards her mother, for though the she-cat was a doting queen and she remembers her kithood fondly, Silver is also the reason that Tiger was apprenticed to Ice. That’s something Tiger has never been able to forget, and she’s long held some resentment for it; wishing the she-cat had raised her the way she’d been meant to. She also halfway resents Silver for not confronting Ice about his methods, and for obeying the group’s demands for her to stay away – but at the same time she understands that the queen had no real choice, and she’s never been able to reconcile those opposing points. Her feelings have only been complicated more by the fact that Silver undoubtedly saved her life during her ‘banishment’, and by the fact that that very same act has her questioning why the queen didn’t intervene before…
| Although they often squabbled, Tiger adored her brother and grew unusually close to him whilst he was still around. After they were apprenticed and Silver was forbidden from approaching them, Leopard became her only real source of solace, and it was to him that she turned after every day’s training. They leaned on each other throughout the first moons of their apprenticeship, and Tiger isn’t sure she would have made it through those first weeks without his help. His loss devastated her, ripping away the only comfort she had, and a part of her never really recovered.

| Although Ice undoubtedly made her strong, Tiger despises him for the way he treated her and was all-too-keen to get out from under his paw. She was terrified of him for much of her early life, and though that passed as she grew she retained a deep-seated mistrust for him long after she became capable of matching him. Tiger barely spoke to the tom once her training was finished, made every effort to avoid his company, and was not at all sorry when he was killed. Unfortunately, even though she was able to keep her distance from him after her training, Ice still left scars that may never properly heal…
